POLITIC - JAKARTA. The survey held by Vox Populi Research Center showed that electability of presidential and vice-presidential candidate pairs number 01 Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin was superior compared to pair number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Salahudin Uno.
"Jokowi-Ma'ruf's electability is 54.1%. While Prabowo-Sandiaga's electability is 33.6%," said Vox Populi Research Center Research Director Dika Moehamad, Monday (25/3).
Meanwhile, the number of respondents who chose not to know/did not answer was 12.3%. The number of respondents in this survey was 1,200 people representing 34 provinces, then selected based on multistage random sampling.
Face-to-face interviews do data collection through questionnaires. The survey, which was held from March 5 to 15, 2019 has a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 2.9 percent.
Dika said the high electability difference between Jokowi-Ma'ruf and Prabowo-Sandiaga was due to the high level of public satisfaction with the government's performance.
"The high satisfaction with the performance of the government converted in electability Jokowi which far outperformed Prabowo-Sandiaga, which is 20% adrift," said Dika. (Fabian Januarius Kuwado)
